I recently bought vellum ’saying’ stacks at Michaels.
I wanted to use them for scrapbooking but I don’t know how too transfer them on my scrapbooking paper. Should I rub them on? I already tried rubbing them on with a ruler, this did not work out… I asked my friends who also do scrapbooking but they didn’t know either. So please help me out!

Here is a simple scrapbooking idea you can make as a gift for someone you love. I made these mini clipboards for my mom and my aunt. You will need a mini clipboard, a picture, double sided tape or clear dots, cardstock, embellishments. I used some flowers and brads to add some “Wow Effect.” I also used my Silce Machine to cut out the words love and a tag. The tag is 4 inches long, and the word love is 3 inches wide. The clipboard has a hole in the clip so it can be hung on wall or propped up on a book case.

I am just starting to scrapbook my wedding. I have about 200+ candid pictures and over 700 professional pictures. We have a professional album with about 60 or so pictures in it and a regular photo album for the candids. I am wondering what I should do with my extra pictures after I am done scrapbooking. I can’t put all of the pictures into the scrapbook and its seems weird to have just the extras in an regular album. This is a silly problem, but I am wondering, how does everyone else deal with this?
Acrylic Albums are the rave right now. At the Scrapbook Expo that is what you saw a lot of. Acrylic has so many uses and is so sturdy that you cannot help but fall in love with it. It comes in many sizes and shapes. You can make your own or buy them pre-cut. The best part is that you can add so much color and it all come through it give your scrapbooking a three dimensional feel. Rub-ons are great because you rub it on one side an it shows through to the other side.
Some tips to remember when using acrylic albums.
First you might want to pair up your photos so that they are about the same size, that way you can stick the first photo to the front of a page and the second in the exact same spot on the back of the page. This allows you to save on embellishments that you would need to cover the back of photos.
Remember that you will want to place your pictures and your embellishments so that they can be seen through the whole album at the same time. Think about what you want peeking through to the front page.
There are many types of adhesives that you can use on your album. Fist you can use your ordinary double sided tape, but you will have to put and something on the back side to cover it. Also, there are adhesives that dry clear with minimal exposure on the reverse side, such as Zip Dry Paper Glue.
One of the favorite embellishments I saw at the scrapbooking expo look was adding a flower behind the picture, on the back side. The flower was bigger than the picture. The petals peeked out from behind the photo for a great look on both sides!

I’m always looking for a fast way to scrapbook faster and with less work. I think you will enjoy this video. Yes, you can put a page together in under 4 minutes, but I think that if you do it under 10 minutes. You will probaly get a better looking page. I like the idea of having all your photos already cropped and ready to tape down. What about the big tape gun? WOW! I just have a little one.

On Valintine’s Day my husband gave me a wonderful gift, he took me to the Scrapbooking Expo in Costa Mesa CA. I had never been to an Expo. There are some many wonderful things to see and do. I learned so much about what’s new in the world of scrapbooking. I got to see the new albums, stamps, glitter, paper cutters, stickers, and paper kits. WoW! I didn’t know that there was so much you could do with scrapbooking.
Many of the vendors had the new Slice Machine. The Making Memories® Slice™ is a portable digital cutting machine that measures less than five inches. It runs independently on a rechargeable battery or can be plugged in. It has a 2″ window to preview shapes before cutting. It will cut cardstock, vellum, vinyl and photos up to .5mm thick. I bought a Slice Machine while I was at the Expo. I thought it would save me a lot of money on Letter Stickers. I like it. I can make any letter or shapes from 1” to 4” inches wide.
